can someone run a carfax?

Hi,

Can someone be kind enough to run a carfax for a car a good friend of mine bought?

Its a 1992 Mustang 5.0 and the VIN is 1FACP45E5NF169610.

Please email it to me at nine44@gmail.com , thanks.

They do, but free is better then $25.

Some people on the board have accounts and can get free reports, which is why I posted this.

Oh ok, cool. Do carfax reports show anything besides major damage?

Actually it is NOT advised to request such a service on this board or others. Carfax has and will take legal action for those trying to obtain info on cars without signing up with them. Bottom line this can jeapordize the Pelican BBS. See the other site, the site you need to pay to be a member, in regards to this Carfax issue.

I personally could care less but we who ask for this help can make things difficult for Wayne Dempsey, our man who provides us this site.

Think about it then move accordingly and GL!

nobody has ever flinched at the dozens of carfax requests that have been on this board over the year and a bit that i've been here..

and it doesn't cost 25 bucks.. you can get a month long membership for 25 dollars. in that month you can search for as many cars as you wish, within reason. so asking someone for a carfax is just saying "anyone who has already paid a membership, can you check out a car for me?"

asking someone to run one for you isn't illegal, but saying "I have a free month of carfax... i'll serve everyone" is against their terms of service.. the worst punishment i've ever seen carfax dish out is to just cancel that individual's month long membership.

Wayne did one for me so i would think that you are okay asking on the board. You might not want to advertise as Eldorado said but otherwise I wouldnt worry about it

Plenty of responses and free bumps, but no carfax report yet.

Very odd.

Ok.. I was just putting it out there as it was an issue elsewhere. Good luck!

.. Still no carfax, after so many views.

I'll post on OT, but I don't think I can delete this thread so lets just let it die.
