Battery Tray Water Leak - Its back
Well, i machined out the rust spots in my battery tray and patched it with galvanized and sealed it all up with undercoat.... that was about a year ago. Weve been getting alot of rain here in FL and I noticed some water was starting to creep into the passenger side foot well once again. Should i reseal it with undercoat again? Or is there something that will do the job once and for all?

grind away all of the rust, put new metal back in, and dump a bunch of por15. There are detailed instructions for using Por15 on the can.

from what ive read por15 is used to stop the spread of rust..... I think what I am looking for is something that will seal. Something that will go on heavier than undercoat, and last longer.

Read this: http://por15store.com/instructions-pdf/Rusty-Metal-Restoration.pdf
BTW, Por15 is the only thing holding some 914s together, from what I hear

You can also have a leak under the plastic cover below the windshield.
If the plastic is ripped close to the wiper shaft, water will run down the fresh air blower to body seal. Check that too. I had to pull the fresh air blower and reseal it on my car.
