Won't fire on third try

As the weather cools off here, my 968 cranks up immediately first try....and if it kills (I stall it) it cranks again..but not on the third try without a lot of coaxing. Am I flooding it? I try not to pump the gas pedal, thinking the brain should be figuring all this out for me. Cold start valve going bad or? If it's the Cold Start valve...how hard a changeout? Expensive?

Harvey
