I hope he finds it immediately and completely intact. And, almost as good, I hope he finds the losers that are responsible!

With that much invested (money and time, I've read his site before) there must have been a lot of security. How about LoJack? Were all these defeated or did they pick a way around?

Bastards!

to leave the ferraris and take the 951... it HAS to be someone who knows the car.. at least, that'd be my guess...

I hope the thief is stupid enough to put it up on eBay or autotrader... a 3.0 Turbo should be spotted easily by the Porsche community

Surprised it has not been found in a ditch somewhere ...........

Two possibilities...

1. Random Joy Ride - Opportunity presented itself

2. This guy pissed someone off - Payback

Too many unique parts on that car. It will be interesting to see if the idiot who stole it tries to part it out.

I can't imagine someone stealing an 80's turbo to try and make a profit out of it.....

i hope the best of luck, its a shame too see a beautiful car like that stolen, why cant they take a car thats still in production??

like many have stated above, that being such a unique car, if they try selling it or parting it out it should be very easy to spot.

no typical theif would turn down 2 ferrari's for an 80's porsche unless they are very familiar with the car, its value, or its price.. i have a feeling this wasnt a random theft, careful planning had to of gone into this.

I pm'd the guy to try and help out and he basically snubbed me... maybe because I refuse to PAY to be a member(the guys there are such a clique!), doesn't matter, he's pretty rich judging by his not having the 2 ferraris stolen, he can afford it. perhaps there is a matter of social justice in that. and that is why we have insurance.

Um. it's easier to steal a 944 than it is a Ferrari. Ever look at the ignition switch? Not very complicated at all...

Wouldn't you have a car like that (as well as the Ferrari and any valuable or interesting car for that matter) immobilized while parked? Like remove the fuel pump relay (if it won't start it makes it a lot harder to steal) or install a wheel clamp? Alarm system on storage?

I'm sure we will hear the whole story at a later date.

Awesome 944 Turbo though. Hope it is and the thieves found.

If he had so much money...why couldn't he afford a garage? Two ferraris and a Porsche left outside? Sounds a little strange. Nice car though.
