Recaro kit
I'm looking for a source for a mounting kit for a Recaro seat to my 83 944. Any ideas?

Hi,
Recaro is the factory seat provider, in my 83, I mounted Recaro SRDs by unbolting the factory sliders from my original seats, bolting them on the new Recaros, then back in the car. Very easy, except for the two front bolts next to the tunnel, still an hour tops.

Thanks. I ran down an official Recaro Part No. for Porsche 944 10/84 onward: 67.90.19 (Left seat) and 67.90.29 (right). List is $205, so I think I'll try the "bolt right in" approach.

This is a reply to nize. ( I have no idea where I am in this thread...)
I found the $205 price buried in the official Recaro site: http://www.recaro-nao.com/INDEX_FRAMES_NS.HTML I also found it at another site I googled on "Recaro seat brackets." But, alas, my history file goes away after one day, so I've lost it. One of my pals told me he has found a bracket for $79, but neither he nor I can re-locate it. I've yet to tryusing the exisitng bracket on the car. The seat I have is an older seat, not equipped with slots for the five point harness. The hole pattern has three female threads on each rail. The distance from the back hole to the closest front hole is 9 5/16" and to the next front hole 1". The centerline of the holes from one rail to the next is 16". Hope you get this.
