I too have a question about the power prom...

have had my chip for a couple months now... nearly have found the balls to start chopping up my DME....

here's my question.... the switch on the dual chip adapter board.... can it be flipped in motion? or are there rules about when you can flip it? (the "power-prom to stock" switch)

I have had no problems with flipping from stock to chipped mode with the car running.

You can get a used DME relatively cheap for a good piece of mind. I bought one and installed the chip in the spare after I made sure the spare DME worked properly in my car.

Hey Kyle. If you want me to take a stab at it, I will. A decade of micro surgery work on miniture electrons. Check into maybe getting an extra DME as uncon said. If everything works as predicted, you can just sell the extra one.

thanks paul.

I think i'll keep that in mind for when I get enough cash together to subsidize you.. right now, being between jobs, it's really just a matter of what 'needs' to be done, and what can wait. I'll be in touch though

If you really get ambitious, I'll hopefully be looking to find the time to lift the car and take the back wheel off to see what the culprit of the clicking/squeaking is coming from... and probably look into changing the motor mounts at some point too..

...but like i said - when i get rich. lol
