sweet rides these 924S

Hey about two months ago I ask this board about a potential '87 924S for my 16 year old son and got some pretty good responses. I bought him the car and did some simple maintenance right away (oil change, filters, tires and brake fluid). I stepped back and let him drive it for awhile. Within a week he got a girlfriend...
Well now I have been driving the said car for two days while he is on vacation with his mom. This is a sweet ride. Tonight it will go into a local Porsche shop for the timing belt change. So thanks guys, I think I might have to sneak some additional rides with this car in the future. I will post some pictures soon.

Hehe, my Mom got a 944 within days of me getting my '85 944. Definately good cars. Glad Porsche deiced to buy the 924 desing back from VW. Its jsut the perfect car for me on the market.

Defiantely enjoyable cars. Not quite as fast as most, but I always love when I have a place to go to and get to drive mine there. I thik sometimes i take trips that aren't neccesary. being a manual is fun to, more to do with the car as you drive.

I couldn't sleep the first night my '86 was parked in the driveway. Everything in my wanted to drive, took way into the AM's before I finaly got to sleep.

As long as you don't fall behind on maintenance, they're awesome cars! (yes, that's my official disclaimer)

LOL

I bought my first 944 about a year after I graduated from college. My girlfriend was still a junior at the same school, and when I drove up to visit on weekends, the car always got tons of comments. It was black and always kept ultra-shiny. The other kids said: "Jeez - he must be going really well since graduating last year!"

Little did they know that I picked it up for $4250 and the car was over 14 years old at the time. I still felt like a rock star
