 powerprom switch location

has anyone tried mounting the switch for their power prom on the center console near the wiper switch? what kind of switch did you use?

Wow that is actually a really good idea. I didnt get the dual adapter board, but if I did I would certainly look into this possibility. Maybe you could find a used wiper switch since it is only two position, and figure out a way to wire that in. It would definitely be sleek.

If you've got a spare switch slot open on your dash area... you could use another power mirror switch. Maybe put some sort of on/off indicator for it so you know which mode you're in. This would work for early and late :)

I thought about putting a switch in the center console, but i have to many nosey passengers that like to play with stuff when they get into the car. Any type of two position switch will work, i had this one on my desk that was never used for anything. Its a aircraft grade switch, a bit overkill...but its the only use i can think for it!

he gave me a switch with the chip and adapter board... but if i could use a "stock looking" chip (the LED indicator is a great idea..) then i'll definitely consider it.
