944 n/a to 951 signal light wiring

Can anyone tell me which of the the three wires goes where?

I have an '87 944S to which I have added a 951 front end. The 951 front turn signal wiring plugs do not connect with my existing 944 wiring. I have cut the black plugs off and have stripped down the wire showing the colors of the wire. Other than an all brown one on both the turn signals and the existing (944 n/a)wiring, the colors do not match up.
I am pretty sure the brown always goes to the brown. I have figured out how to get them to work but my left side blinker blinks to quickly as if the rear light was out. It is not. I can not seem to get the parking light part of the front signals to work. Other than the afore mentioned problem, the blinkers work fine on the drivers side and blink fast on the passengers side.

Note: The passengers side tail light, and front side marker are not working. could this have something to do with the fast blinking and non functioning parking lights? I have checked the wiring, fuse and bulb for the passenger tail light and all seems fine. The brake lights work as they should.

Brown is always ground. By the use of a multimeter you should be able to sort out what goes where. Other than that......

Tail lights should both work together. They are not separately wired. I would suspect a bad bulb or corroded socket. (real high tech, those sockets, ain't they?) Quick flashing generally indicates too light a load on the system..that is, a bad bulb, lousy socket.
