clutch pedal to the floor #2

Hello All,

My 968's clutch went to the floor, I pulled it up and tried to use it to nurse the car home. The petal now will/cannot be press in, no matter how much pressure one puts on the petal...
Any ideas?

TIA,
Peter Voss

Most likely the clutch master cylinder took a dump.

It's either the master or the slave, or you have air in the system.

ditto. just did one on a Silver Rose here at the shop. the pressure hose from the master to the slave burst. do both the master and the slave at the same time, even if only one or the other is bad. it saves time later

Are you saying the pedal is locked in the 'up' position now and will not move at all? If so, I don't think a failed hydraulic component will lock up the pedal. If the pedal is stuck 'up' I would think it's a mechanical issue even though I've never heard of that happening. Loss of hydraulic pressure would make the pedal stay down not up unless the MC rod has popped out and is jammed against something.
