I've actually sat in that black & yellow one - it was at a guy I know's place over in Torrance a while back. Apparently he does a lot of work for spec race guys like swapping heads, repairing blown h.g.'s, fixing popped timing belts, etc. That's a pretty well-built car but I just don't see the logic of putting so much money into something that's going to be raced wheel-to-wheel. I'd only do it if I were sponsored, that way if some idiot sends me into a wall I don't eat $15k worth of parts and weeks fixing it. I think sponsorship of some sort is the only real way to afford wheel-to-wheel track time. Either that or have money to burn.

I'll definitely run on the track, but to do actual competitive racing on your own dime is nuts.
