Will removing the brake lines cure the "brake issues" ?
If the lines are rusty, they need replacing. If the flexible hose are original replace those too. Once replaced with the correct type of lines, pressure wash the underside of the vehicle and treat everything with a corrosion-preventive wax (Wurth makes one) and then do the same proceedure regularly. Had to do this in the UK to prevent the front to rear and fuel lines disappearing due to corrosion. Although the car is galvanized, all the bits bolted to it aren't.

Couldn'tbelieve when I worked on my 87 how good it was. Not a spec of rust. Didn't stop the mechanic doing the safety check from telling me I needed a new rubber flex line. I changed both cheap ~20 can. each and got the opportunity to drain/change out a lot of the old brake fluid. Still can't figure out why I had to change it? Looked perfect. Of cource there are a lot of garages that come up with a list of bull to make some money. Was he ever surprised when I showed up with a dolly to take it have and do all the work myselfe.
