Houston Repair Shops?
Hi... I have temporarily (or permanently) relocated to Houston from New Orleans after Katrina and I brought my son's 85/1 along. Suddenly, a LARGE oil leak has developed along the bottom of the oil cooler/top of the balance shaft housing - can't tell for sure w/ the PS pump in the way. I would normally tackle this myself but I'm living in a condo w/ no garage and my tools are all in NOLA anyway.
 Can any of you Houston guys recommend a good, knowledgable repair shop? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What part of Houston are you in?
Normally I'd have you come over to the race shop and have some of the Texas Greaseslingers come to your aid, but I'm working 60+ hours a week right now (even through the holidays) and will be going out of town 2 weekends from now so I can't really help in that regard.

Don't know any shops in Houston, but there's always the Ruf shop, Zims, and 44AndMoreParts in Dallas and Murillo Motorsports in Tyler.

Thanks George. I'm located near the Medical Center and Rice U. I've noticed a bunch of foreign repair shops in the area but when I called a couple, none had worked on a 944 before. I hear you about the hours - just took my first days off since I got here in early Sept. Thanks for the thoughts on the Greaseslingers.
BananaClip, thanks for the reply. I know a couple of those shops and they are quite good but like George, I can't get the time right now to venture very far. This leak is also so bad that to go that far I would have to trailer it. Any other shops I should look at? Thanks

I don't know what shops might be near that area, but if you post on Rennlist, I know there are a couple of guys who might.
