are strut mounts really that much $$!?

I'm chaning a few front suspension pieces on my '89S2 (w/ M030 front struts), and one of my strut mounts (which I thought were called strut bearings) needs replacement. From looking at different online catalogs, it appears that stock replacements are about $400+!!!, and as much as $1,040 for the ones for ride height adjustable struts!!! Has that been your experience? If so, I'll just get Ground Controls, these are starting to look like a bargain:

I have the KLA strut mounts on my car, very happy with them. However if your are looking for something like camber plates you need to look elsewhere. These offer no adjustability (basically a good alternative to stock).

The ones for the 86 are like $35.00 each and I thought were interchangable with the later mounts. Might want to check with somebody that sells them to find out what the differences between them are.

Good Luck,
