Martini paint code?

I have a '77 Martini 924 that was repainted white once, but the engine bay etc does not match. The paint code sticker is missing, does anyone know what color the Martinis are supposed to be?

I have a 924s in L90E Alpine white and a 911SC in GP 908 GP white, neither of which appear to match the paint under the hood of my Martini which i believe was reainted in Titan L93z white.

I believe they were white with red and blue pin-striping

I know it was white, I just am not sure which white. The only other P-car color code besides the ones listed above, is Polar white L90A which I have never seen before. If anyone has a 1977 Martini, please look at the color code on the drivers door post and let me know what number it is (the older 924's had the color code located here instead of inside the rear panel like the newer 924s and 944s), my color code tag must have been removed at the last repaint.

My 1977 Martini's paint code sticker reads:

L 93 Z

Hope this helps.

I'm am the third owner and bought the car about 3 yrs ago. The second owner had the car about 22 yrs! The paint has some minor touch up work mostly on the left front fender (done about 20 yrs ago). Everything is original except for the dash and the radio. The dash was replace by the original owner with a black one. It was cracked. Everthing else is in decent shape. Since I bought the car I have been able to find some NOS seat covers, some NOS carpet pieces and almost a complete set of stripes. I am keeping these as spares. Do you have photos of your car?

Haha it's a pretty cool paint scheme. I kinda like it, although I think it's not for everyone.

Not a fan of the interior, tho...

Thanks for the pics!

I only have photos after it was repainted. At one time I had a full set of new stripes to put back on it, but the stripes and the original wheels were stored at my parents home 15 years ago and somewhere along the way, my parents threw them out!

The stripes can be purchased on-line (google 924 Martini) as I found a site that was selling them recently.

I still have my original seats, but the red corduroy type center sections are in bad shape, so presently I have black leather 944 seats in it. My back seat is all black vinyl and I am sure it is original. My car came with headlight washers and a rear windshield wiper. A few of the major repairs over the years are the following:

reseal/bond hatch glass
new headgasket
new custom exhaust
new fuel injectors/pump/accumulators
new right front fender
new rear brake cylinders/drums rebuilt front calipers/new mast cyl
black plastic dash cover
welded new lower door skin

I bought the car from the original owner about 15 yrs ago w/ 77k
on the clock. I drove it for about 8 years then stored it till my oldest daughter started driving at which time I did a bunch of the above listed repairs to make it right again. It is gutless but very pleasant to drive. I just picked up a white '87 924S as my second daughter is about to start driving. I am presently repainting and fixing minor issues on that car. I think it will be kind of neat for them to park their white Porsches next to each other at school! (I just hope they can keep from trashing them, so far, so good!)

My newly acquired 77 Martini 924 (M426) is paint coded Polizei Weiss L 93 Z, not titan white, and still has the original paint code decal on the door post. Peter Morgan's 924-944 history book (p. 27) states that the Martini cars were painted in Grand Prix white?
My car was built in Jan 1977.
Anybody have any further info on the subject?
I really, really like this cool old special model and plan to do a street restore on it.
CHEERS!

TIM___Even using the proper paint code you'll never match the under hood -door sills ect ect.In order to have a perfect match you'll have to stripe her down completely & repaint every nooks and corners, the car is now 34 years old & unfortunetly after all them years paint has a tendency to fade.I've yet to see a 924/944/968 engine bay which match the body color at 100%,if you look closely at any one of them I'm sure you will see a little difference here & there.

Ernie,
Got it. I understand and accept that situation. The exterior needs to look great though. I have the stripe kit in hand.
Maybe these cars were available in different shades of white, or the factory didn't care which white it was?

Great to see people keeping the Martini Porsches alive! Tim, where in Ohio are you? I am in Gahanna, we should link up and say nice things about each others cars!

Boulder and Hancock,
I've seen pics of Martini 924's with all black back seats, but others have the scarlet corduroy and turquoise piping like mine.
Is there a registry/list of remaining cars of the 2,000 that were imported to the U.S.?

Mine had black back seats

The front corduroy par was black but I think it was dyed or replaced at one tlime. It had the stripes on the headrest. It was a cool car but the fuel system was shot.

My front seats have had the corduroy replaced with some kind of velour? I saw a thread somewhere that said someone had the correct material reproduced in europe.
My Martini 924 currently has 40mm side draft Webers, a hot cam, racing headers, custom exhaust, external oil cooler, Weltmeister sways. I plan on selling that stuff to pay for returning to factory stock pieces. A 78 924 and a 79 924 came with the deal as parts cars.
My car is also a sunroof delete model, which I dig.
I need a correct leather steering wheel. Anybody have that?

A two-spoke? I have one out of my martini parts car. The red carpet, and red seats are for sale too.
