Rear hatch seal question
I've a small leak just over the well behind the left hand wheel arch.
Probably just needs the seal replacing - the hatch seems to seat well enough without any play from the locking catches. Anyhow, I lifted a small amount of the seal to see how tight it was (one of the cut ends) and found there was some sort of white tacky sealent underneath. Is this normal - like a thinner version of the tacky black stuff used to help seal the rear lights - or is it likely to be something a previous owner put on to tackle the leak? I wondered if it was necessary to help retain the seal in place.

I seem to recall the new seals having some adhesive in them. Mine did...
