Anyone Know a Good Shop in Florida to do a Plastic window Replace in a Cab??

Hello,

I have a 90 S2 and I need the rear window replaced, does anyone know of a good shop which will do the window replacement without doing the entire top??

Thanks,

If you want to stay local I would suggest trying a reputable boat/sail shop(shouldn't be a problem to find in florida). Most of these shops are very good in putting in plastic windows for alot less than an auto upholsterer or cab repair shop.

I am simply relaying what they said, I was curious myself.... maybe they meant a better quality than standard Clear Vinyl, some tops for different cars feature a glass window.

The point is not that you can get a different style window for other cars, the point is if they install just windows, then it seems reasonable that they could replace the window alone.

However in most cases unless a rear widow can be unzipped or otherwise detached from the parent window, they will want to remove the top and install a new window (stiched in,etc) then reinstall.

A few shops in miami said the same thing when I was done their, they can remove the window and replace it with several styles of window, I didnt inquire further.

I think any shop worth a spit can replace the window, the main thing is what is require to do it. Most tops have a zipper, some do not.

The porsche window is cemented in I think...
