Urgent Help
I stupidly took all of the spark plugs wires off so I could replace them with Jacobs but I don't know which ones go where on the dist. cap. Someone please help quick!!

Here's my car, and verified out of the Hayne's manual, 1 is front, 4 is rear, firing order 1-3-4-2 clockwise

I think I put jacobs wires on my car about a year ago and the number one wire was way too long. Are you having the same problem? Thanks

Yeah, some of the wires are too long. Not to big a deal for me. Did you get your wires to fit back in the brackets? |

....on an aside topic......you see on Bob944's picture.
Does anyone know if their was a cover for the hole on the cam cover housing.....(to view timing mark)? It seems odd that their wouldn't be a cap for this hole. Everytime I wash my engine, I cringe at the thought of getting moisture, soap, and whatever else could get on the timing belt...... Alex

there's a rubber plug made for that hole, i don't know the part number.

If that ever happens again and you don't have access to a pic, just turn the engine over to TDC and do the wiring according to the postion of the rotor on the cap. I actually had a mistake on mine when I put it together. Found I was 90 degrees off all the way around, hence i moved all the plugs clockwise on the rotor and, tadah, it works.
