Interior hood latch lever 924S removal?

Late last night, when attempting to release my hood latch, the plastic lever mounted on the left kick panel started acting up. I was able to release the latch from under the car and determined that the cable mechanism is still intact. The problem appeared to be that the cable sheath is no longer being retained properly at the release lever. I was out of time, but at a quick glance, I could not see how this plastic assembly comes apart. Do you have to remove the kick panel carpet to gain access? Are there some hidden screws? It can't be too complicated, I should be able to figure it out when I get home tonight but any tips would be appreciated!

EDIT: I got it, never mind.
