Hey Brandon! Did you move? Doesn't look like the house I visited you at.
|
Still need to fix the headlights, though. I'm parting my '24S if you need anything, let me know.

wow its looking great, my rear wiper used to work.. sunroof still does though :)

Love it! I still figure that for the price, the ROH wheels can't be beat. Makes me wish I lived in the US so I could spend my life doing what you've done to that car.

The little light behind my clock works too. :p |
Thanks for the positive comments guys! Tomorrow I get to replace the DME relay. I still live in Riverslime, these were at my friend's house.
Bumper pull is this saturday, a pro's pulling the rear and makin it look clean again. Then it's the front... He'll fix the headlight bucket and pull the front so the headlights aren't propped up by bent sheetmetal. When it stops being so damned windy I'll wash it. Pokey, could use the front cowling that the hood badge is attached to :) Should bolt right up... Going to vent it... |
As far as I know, everything in my car works except for the antenna motor (I don't care enough to replace it).

Looking good. Bought my car for the same price + 2 subs in a box and a amp
Good deal for 500$! |
I dunno - I've had good luck with my cars or somethin'. All the "typical" stuff always works and all the weird stuff is what breaks. Dashes are perfect. Seats are perfect. Clock works. Odometers work. Sunroofs work. Never stripped sunroof gears. Never had headlight issues. No snapped t-belts. No hatch delaminations.
On the other hand, I've had the a/c compressor catch fire, a turbo self-destruct, tires shred, a rear axle come apart, a host of oil and power steering leaks, a failed cooling fan relay and a few others. Somehow I've avoided the "common" failures though. Hope the luck holds. |
Ha well yeah, the typical stuff works in my car, but over the last 5 years I have had just about every major problem common to these cars:
Clutch failure Head gasket failure Oil Cooler seal failure Water Pump failure Timing belt failure ha the list goes on and on. Thank god for an honest mechanic, some good parts connections, and the help from PP, or else I probably would have given up on this car long ago :) |
I wish you, or whoever is doing the front end body work luck with getting the headlight buckets lining up again. My car was in a front end accident in November, i managed to straigthen everything out myself so that all body panels fit and the headlights work again..its just a matter of getting them lined up, i gave up trying.
Leaving my car at my friends body shop next week, hope he has better luck than i did! |
