Brake Lights Don't Work

For some reasons my brake lights aren't working anymore. All of the lights work but the lights when you actually step on the brakes.

Turns, reverse, the red lights that are on when the lights are on, but when you step on the brake, nothing. I replaced both bulbs, no good there. Checked the fuses, but can't find a fuse for the brakes under the hood.

Can you guys suggest where else I can look? Thanks all

Alex

All lights have a fuse including the brake lights. Check that first. Get a volt meter and put something on the brake pedal to hold it down and check for voltage on the brake light wires at the lights. If you have power then check to make sure your lights are well grounded. If not, move to the brake switch attached to the brake pedal and make sure you have power on one side before pressing the pedal then make sure power goes through the switch when you step on the brake. If no power at the switch on either wire, check for voltage at the fuse box. After that is a broken wire somewhere. Hope this helps.
