sway bar

I was tinkering with my 944 today trying to reconnect the sway bar ends back into the end links but cant seem be able to muscle
them back in. any tips?

also what could have caused them to pop out of the endlinks?

Hey Chris,

endlinks? is that where they connect to the control arm? are you having a problem with getting the bolts to line up or did your sway bar come out of the vertical bushings? If your bushings are old they may not hold it in place.

it came out of the bushings on both sides

Mine slides in and out at will but only up to the wider diameter of the bar. Your best bet is to remove the whole bar and bracket from the car (two bolts on the bracket frame on each side). This will allow you to slide the ends back on and reattach.

If you're having trouble getting them on the bushings, I recommend taking the bushing housing off the car and using some sort of vice to get them back in. They are not suppsed to be loose fits.
