ignition swap

My ignition is very sticky & I usually have to wiggle with a bit of force to get my ignition to turn over. Bad tumblers likely, but before I attempt to swap out the part from one of my "extra" cars Id like to know how difficult this is to do? Any tips? Thanks

Locksmiths have a dry graphite (I think) lubricant that helps with this. I used it on my door locks and it really made a difference there. I think I actually got mine at Walmart in the automotive section where they make keys. Probably anyone that makes keys would have it. Never used it in an ignition but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
