Why I will not fear the LT-1
|
Heck Yes!
|
is that thing U.S airforce surplus?
|
LOL... not quite, but close enough for my uses :)
My little '51 shall have some fun this summer! |
It doesn't look too bad does it.
;) I would add LS1's to that list as well........... |
i want a ride!
will i have to purchase some kind of permit first? a waiver to sign? jk NICE |
Hey alex - just shot ya an e-mail :)
A waiver... LOL Just come to 944Fest - hopefully I'll have it in the car by then. If so, free ride :) |
thats going to give you some god aweful turbo lag
|
Nah, I'm pretty sure it'll spool as soon as the stock turbo.
:) I think the pic makes it look bigger than it is... The part you are looking at is actually sitting about 5 or 6" away from the wheel. |
Maybe this is a better representation of size.
I wish I still had the spare K26 to sit next to it though. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1139110097.jpg |

LEAVING any and all stock turbos WAYYYYY behind.... You should see what it does at +20psi..... (shivers)..... but if I were Uni-ball I would stay at 15 psi.... |
I'm probably going to run it at 12psi or so until I do the rebuild.
Afterwards, I'm going to aim for lots of boost, but with water injection. I guess I'm going to see what other goodies I can accumulate for next winter's project. |
I cant wait to get my turbo engine, im going to build and boost the ever loving hell out of it. Have fun my man
|
the seccond pic in the first post is awesome man, looks like fun...im jealous
|
Brad,
If I get the LT-1 done i would be willing to play a little cat and mouse and then I want a ride in your car. Speedy:) |
My friend just moved to Maryville last week so we can have a place to stay at next time we meet up at the Tail.
|
Cool! I can't wait to go back :)
|
what turbo is that?
|
Pretty sure a nicely built LS-1 would leave it behind ;)
However, that is very nice. Much bigger than my K26/6 :( |
all things being equal, it should be equivalent to a 5.0L once it reaches 14PSI.
