whats this switch for???
 

Ive owned my 83 944 for a few years now & have never figured out what this strange switch is for. The switch is located on the console just under the left side of the radio. It has a dial on it with what kinda looks like a picure of speakers on either side. It doesnt seem to affect anything in my car at all. What is this for?

Radio fader. More than likely, if you have an aftermarket radio, it has been bypassed.

Car had an Alpine in it when I bought it, so this makes sense why the switch does nothing. Thanks for sharing the knowledge!!!!!!!!
