has anyone..

changed a thermostat?? i heard its a real pain...i was wondering if an at-home mechanic could do it...my cooling system is really messed up and i needa flush/change thermo ASAP. any help is appreciated!!!

There's a certain set of snapring pliers that Snap-On makes. They fit on the snapring perfectly. That's the hard part to the job. Unfortunately, I don't know the right size or number, and I'm not home right now.

For $20, if you do the work yourself, it is most definitely worth it. It's doable with another set of snapring pliers, it's just a pain.

oo thanks for the info on the snapring. i definately wanna save as much money as possible...so i prob wont send it to a shop.
