Heard nething about FRWILKS?
 

I am wondering if anyone has heard anything about FRwilks lately, i have been trying to contact him for the past two weeks to order the PowerProm, but have not gotten a response. I can fill out an order form but you get no response from any emails. So anyone heard anything?

He's probably off doing another black book project for the DOD. Area 51 stuff.

Ya know, I was CRAZY enough, a week or so ago, to answer a OLD post of his, and ORDER a power prom chip and upgrade from his site for one of my early cars! (it was early morning......I WAS not thinking!.....as USUSAL!). :)

Those DOD people, haven't got much of a sense of humor ya know! ;)

I know his site was hacked and he is on vacation but I dont know when things will be back to normal

Don't think Wilks gets his e-mail when nose deep in DOD work.

I called last week... he said he'd mail my chip this week. We'll see. His site did get hacked and he did take some time off 'round the holidays and I heard something about a t-belt issue (old post?)

He asked me to post that he has e-mail/server trouble and is workin' on it.

Yeah, well, no news. Is there someone nearby who can go dig up his flower bed and see if he's been planted in it? I'm beginning to think, after two months, I've been screwed. don't know when I'll be in SoCal again but I have a brick with Wilk's name on it. I have his address on the receipt for the money order he asked for, too.

What do I have - nine posts? how many of them are trying to figure out what the heck he's up to? It could get ugly.

dude, relax. you told us you talked to him and he'd send it out last week... that could be anywhere from monday to friday.... always allow at least 10 business days for a package delivery - you know how the post office gets.

you *could* always call him and ask him if it has been sent out.

Well earmarking a brick in his name isn't going to expedite matters any. I agree his availabilty is a mystery. I too emailed him to purchase and no reply so I left it as he is filthy rich!;) But having said that I probably deserve a no reply as I had made an order but shortly had to back out. No loss,it was just poor timing on my behalf.

And something tells me he is not a guy to piss off so my advice is to be patient and see how it plays out. Just my 2cents...

he's a reasonable guy, 200, 300, whatever you spent on his chip.. he knows is a lot of money, so i dont think he'd have a problem with you calling and checkin' up on him.

I too have tried to order an adapter board and chip a while back and have no reply. If someone gets ahold of him please pm me or something so I can order a board and chip before he runs out of them. Does anybody know if his site still works and he's actually getting the order forms? Ive sent like 3 or 4 now.

2 months since my purchase and declared day of shipment, and no reply back via e-mail.

his site got hacked order forms dont work i tried emails dont seem to work either, so you need to call him.

well his website, email, orderforms, EVERYTHING are run off of the same server...
so if his server got hacked and damaged (which we know it did thanks to phils944 phone call), then he's not getting any of that corrospondence... phonecalls work the best.

Can some one please send me his phone number so I can call and order a board and chip?

Wierd, I got my money order back :confused:

Spoke again with Wilk. He says it could be a month before he's up to speed again. Turns out to be more than just a hack of his website. He's fine but someone trashed his computer and backup and It'll take time to rebuild, reprogram...

As for his number - I'm not into giving out people's private info on chat boards but I will say he's in the fone book if you need to call on an order you placed. He seemed ok with that.

And I believe he IS saving the world - one 944 at a time... ;)
