Tire sizes for 88 924S
Has anyone tried running 225-55-15s all around on their 924S? I currently have 225-45-15s but may go to 55's if someone can confirm fitment...

Are your 225-45-15s on stock 6-15 phone dials, if so how do they look? I was about to buy 205 60 15s to replace the worn out stock sized 195 65 15s on my daughters '87 924S. Do the 225s bulge out to much on the stock wheel?

I'm running 225/50-15s on 15x7, but I have the M030 suspension, which has a narrow perch. I think you will likely have some rubbing on the spring, driven at the limit, with the stock suspension.

Eli K,
I'm running 15x7 phone dials (52.3 offset) with 225/50-15 Kumho V710s as my AX set up. With 1 degree negative front camber, they are close, but they don't rub. The section width for my tire (from TireRack specs) is 9.3". The 225/45/15 Hoosiers from the same site are 9.8" That would be pushing it. The spec 944 guys run with a skinny spacer in the front for 924S's for good negative camber and 225/50/15's. I'd like to hear how you make out. Good luck. 924SBob (the other one) 87 924S |

With 2.25 in springs and the perch trimmed, there should be no problem. The camber plates can only help, I think.

Thanks Jesse, and all. The shop I was ordering the tires from ended up having my current size in stock, ok for now, but good to know in a pinch.

I had 225/45R16 on a 7" rim on the front of my 924S. No rubbing. It looked as if I could run a 225/50R16 as well in a pinch. What kind of tires did you buy?
