Looking for a Trailing Arm Nut Size

I'm buying a 944 that is missing the Nut that retains the rear trailing arm bolt. I'm trying to find the nut size without removing the bolt so I can just thread the new nut on and drive it home. Can anyone tell me what size this nut is?

The attached picture has the nut "in question" circled in red. Thanks!

Thanks for the info - can you explain?

Techno Duck,

Thanks for the info - can you explain what it means? What is "PET"? Is the "N" number the parts number? I've got the "lock nut" part, what is the final code - the metric size? Thanks again.

Hi Hank, The top part is the part #. Lock nut came up as the part name /description...and the final part is the size and pitch i would guess, atleast thats how its usually laid out for the usual nuts and bolts i look up. I am not sure what the VM means before the actual size.

PET is the electronic parts database for the 944. You can basically look up all the technical diagrams for the 944 (or any Porsche for that matter) and find names, part numbers and sizes for any nut, bolt, screw and washer that is on a 944 (and more). It was not available to the general public up until recently...you can now get it off Porsche.Com as a .PDF file.
