Brake Pads

Hearing a lil squeeky squeeky these days, time to add pads to the to do list.

Looking through Pelican catalouge, "OEM Brake Pads", for an 87 NA daily street driving, comparing Jurid and Mintex... Mintex are 1/2 the price of Jurids... ($62 vs. $32 front, and $71 vs. $29 rear).

Any difference in performance or will the cheaper set (Mintex) be suitable for my application?

The Mintex will be fine, for everyday driving. I put the Jurids on mine a little noiser and more dust.

Hey Vinny....did you say the more expensive pads (Jurids) produced more noise and more dust?

Yeah, it seems like I'm cleaning my wheels a lot more often.
I'm due for new ones soon, so I might try a different brand

I like metalmasters on the n/a. They seem to work pretty well for me in both lapping and autocross. There are better pads, but metalmasters are a good value. They also keep working well in below freezing temperatures too.
