Typical life span of a pressure plate?
How many miles can one typically expect to get out of a pressure plate under very conservative driving habits? My 944S original rubber centered disc just cashed in. Still has wear left on the disc but the rubber is breaking apart as those old rubber discs do. I'm just trying to figure out if the pressure plate is reusable. How do you tell if it is reusable? Thanks.

Replace the pressure place, the release bearing and fork bearings, get the flywheel turned and replace the rear main seal. You will be happy that you did it now rather needing to replace a component in 5K.

I agree with Rick. Then there has been those lack of funds moments when all one can muster is the clutch disk.
So I would say that if the first clutch went 50k miles then a simple disk replacement would work. If it went over 100k miles do the whole thing.
