im trying to figure out what wheel size came stock on my 83 944. i need to replace one of the front wheels. i know they are 16'' but im not sure about offset and backspacing. what other cars would have the same wheels. or does anyone have some wheels for sale that would work?

I believe that in 1983 you could get the 15 x 7 & 8" Fuchs as a part of the Sports Suspension package.
If you indeed have 16's on there then I suspect they originated from a 1986 951, or perhaps even a 911.
Check the markings on the back of the wheels.

The 15 x 7's were P# 911.361.020 (A310.62)
The 15 x 8's were P# 911.361.020 (A510.62)

911361020 AS1062 7Jx16 is the messed up one. i have the other front tire off and im pretty sure it says 911.362.115 AS1062 7Jx16
some of it is hard to read. but they are definatly 16s

My 83 came from the dealer with 16" Fuchs as well. 16X7 front and 16X8 rear. An expensive option. Do you need the part number?

Verruct is correct. The sport package came with 16" Fuchs on the '83s.
