Has anyone sold on ebay?
Just wondering... I'm getting responses/offers for my 86 951. I thought I had a couple serious offers then the guys back out...
Here's my question: Will the same thing happen on ebay? I'm seeing non-turbos @ higher mileage for more than I'm asking for my car... Is it worth going on ebay? Or is it just a hassle? Thanks |

i dont see it as a hassle. ebay is pretty serious when it comes to people who dont pay... best part is if there's a non-payer, you can (if you like the total) offer it to the guy who bid the second highest... or choose to keep it..
only PITA is the ebay fees, and the fact that you reach a much smaller market because: a) a lot of people would respond to a classified before trusting ebay with their personal information. b) your listing can only last a max of 10 days.

I bought my 944 off of ebay. If you choose to sell on ebay please be sure to disclose all issues with the car. The guy that I purchased the car from neglected to tell me about some major issues (car not starting, leaky roof and hatch, transmission leak, power steering radiator and oil leak, cheap ass paint, etc)
My fault for not buying locally.

Yeah, I know its a great deal... part of me will regret getting rid of this thing... they are beautiful cars. But, I can't have two porsches... I only have room to garage three cars. Our two daily drivers and my weekend car.
I may try the ebay thing... if the few deals going now fall through. Thanks |
