Porsche Crest 924S is about to hit the Road Again!!

Broadfoot Racing dropped off my 924S today, we still have a few minor things to finish stage 1, but he knew that I needed it this week, so we will add the power pulleys and new exhaust in a few weeks. This 924 has a special meaning to me, I got it from a friend who has cancer and wanted to trick this car out, but I'm (with huge help from Albert Broadfoot) will be able to take him to his treatment on Wednesday, as this car had been sitting a few years and a few fuel related things went bad. Over the weekend Albert found and fixed the starting problem, checked & adjusted the belts, added a cam, adj cam gear, powder coated cam housing & intake, turbo injectors, headers, cat by-pass and generally checked it over. The car sounds & runs

Looks really good. Those are my second-favorite wheels ever. Is it sitting up higher than usual, though?

Bolted right up, will need to switch to 930 dust caps up front if I use these, as the Sport Classics hub hole is too tight. I will be switching to 17" Boxster wheels when the street tires are mounted. I just don't have time to mess with the caps right now. Those are 7.5 & 9X18 993 Sport classics provided to me by a fellow pelican head!!

Yes, there are a few things not listed that have been done and still to be done on the Stage 1 list.

I would love to have the wheels but if that has to sit that high sure wouldn't fly on my lowered 924. I see the profile is low giving the illusion it sits high perhaps.

I had just dropped the jack, so it is stock hight (Stage 2 with fix that, with big T-bars & heavy front springs. With 245 & 215s, the wheels & tires will tuck in, you would most likely need to roll them, but they will fit. BTW, those are 265s in the rear & 225s up front, the the front wheel is 3/4 of an inch off the hub do to the bearing cap.

GP white 924 GT clone

Hey Byron, remember this one. She (Eva) WAS one of Garys' creations, before my neighbor pulled out in front on me and totaled her. Do you think I should build another, or buy the one that's for sale in Atlanta?

Gary was cutting the rt rear when the disk blew up IN HIM. It caught the chassis, and when it exploded it cut him pretty good. He's taking antibiotics and some painkillers, and he's doing better.
How are you going to exchange the flares? Do these need to to returned to the sender. Just tell me how I can help out.
I like writing fragmented sentences.

Wow, I hope is is OK, I'll have to return the flares to Brumos, Buddy has ordered me the correct ones.

I have a DE this weekend but the 17s were hitting the outer lip, so after looking, thinking, more thinking, I came up with this idea to roll the fender lip by myself..

First, I got a small 1/4 inch board, a shop rag, 2 clamps and a pair of Vise Grips.
After clamping the board, with the cloth between the fender & board, then starting in the center, clamped the Vise Grips, and went out, re-clamping side by side until I covered the area needed rolling, then I tightened the Vise Grips and repeated the entire process until the lib was flush. And after removing the clamps, the paint had no new damage. Test drive had no rubbing. [/B][/QUOTE]
