S2 motor in 87 944?
What other changes are needed when swapping an S2 motor into an 87 944? AFM, DME, climate control? Any pointers on where to begin looking at this?

Climate control I wouldn't think so -- should be vacuum controlled HVAC same as the post 1985½ 944s, A/C lines for Evaporator/condensor can be used although I'm not sure if the A/C compressor mounts in the same location.
I would believe the whole package would be the DME, Intake, Exhaust, vacuum line routing. The good thing about the 1987 model is that you have alot of the wiring for "acessories" there already, which is not very different from an S2.

Where is the DME located on the late models vs the earlies?
Is the nose panel spot welded into place on an 87, or is that just the earlies?
