Electrical Grounds
Does anyone know of a good diagram that shows where all the grounds are on a late model 944? I have been looking haynes and clark's garage. My car looses electrical power but runs, leading me to believe its a bad ground or loose wire somewhere.

put a multimeter on your battery and start pulling fuses.
when the values stop changing, you know you've found the right circuit. examine the wiring on that circuit.

There should be a diagram inside your owner's manual of the car (if ya have it still). I've seen one, butt, can't seem to locate it right now. It was from an '86 owners manual. Google "1986 Porsche 944 owner's manual", and see if its still out there?
Main ground points are always a good place to start. Bell housing tie up, the main battery connectors (down from the battery connectors also), and don't forget the fuse/relay box main grounding tree(s) underneath the fuse box on the later cars either. Good luck!
