Im looking for the most affordable replacement, or two used examples. could someone direct me to them?

also could having both of these disconnnected cause my car not to start?

Thanks,

The engine will not start with them disconnected. You can use sensors off a BMW E28 5 series, which are more easily found. Set the gap as decsribed in the workshop manual as the engine will still not start.

Unfortunately I can not direct you where to find cheap replacements... the lowest price for new ones I have ever seen is 90 bucks.

Yes, having these both disconnected will absolutely prevent your car from starting.

Carefull if you buy used ones........... they may look good but the wires in the connectors get really corroded and can cause havoc trying to diagnose a no-start situation.
