1984 porsche 944 non turbo

just bought a 1984 porsche 944 when i turn the key it turns over but it wont start ,sounds like the battery is almost dead but its new. any advice?

Two things you need are spark and fuel. I would check to see if you are getting spark first then I would check to see if you have enough fuel pressure. If you have both of those then you will have to start checking sensors to make sure they are working. Their could be any number of things making the car not start but that is the order that I would start in.

this is what happened

had the car sitting for a while a mouse got under the hood and chewed up some wires and vaccum hoses

Guess you have to replace/repair what the mouse chewed up. Take pictures of the damage and post them.
