Exclamation Urgent. need help in Knoxville TN (brake pads)

I am in Knoxville TN and in need of front brake pads. Is there anybody in the area who has new or used front brake pads for my 83? The pads are completely worn out and I still need to make the 800 mile trip back home.

Help would be much appreciated. Post or PM me.

Thanks,
Speedy

I'd bring you some but that a long way
I don't think I'm gonna be able to break away this week.
I'll call if I can manage the time though.

Agreed.. you may get lucky at a place like Autozone if they are around you.. most of the stores stock much more than you think and you may get lucky. And depending on how well stocked the local warehouse is, you may be able to get them in 1-2 days.

Wisconsin to Knoxville?

And I thought here to Nashville was far...

I assume you are taking 57 all the way up to Chicago.

just throw the pads in the back and start driving, it's uphill all the way so you shouldn't need brakes.

The brake pads were installed in the parking lot of my hotel. It only took an hour to swap the pads and bleed the fronts. Boy did that factory tool kit come in handy. Plus one of the local sportbike riders ( FSTENUF on www.easttnriders.com ) lent my some of his tools as well as drove me to the dealership and back.

Thanks FSTENUF!
