Heater Core problems in my 944
My heater core is leaking like crazy in my 84 944.....I really don't have the time to take the core out....can I bypass the heater core somehow until I have the time to do a proper repair....

Yes. Look at the back of the block. Need a bit of hose that will come off the end of the long piece of tubing then to the valve. Can't recall what size.

Like SoCal said, just remove hose from heater control valve, and put a hose between the rear of head feeder nipple, and the tube running along the bottom of cam tower. That will bypass the heater core. Yep, it IS fun getting to, and replacing that heater core. BTDT. Make no mistake. Replace both hoses that go into and outta that core, at the same time. Buy brand new core. You really don't wanna do this twice.
