fuel pump question
Got tons of useful info from this forum...thanks all.
Now have a question of my own. Have an '84 944. Noticed fuel pump growling so decided to change it before it stranded me. Replace with new (not rebuilt), and still have same noise...maybe even a bit worse. Any ideas? Thanks, Scott! ![]() |

Did you change the fuel filter at the same time...and did you have a good flow from the tank?

Check your entire return line to see if it's crushed somewhere. Sounds like the pump has a lot of back pressure.
