how to clean injectors???
all of my injectors on my 84 944 are stopped up except for one does anyone know a way to clean , please help!!!

Back flush them with compressed air. Take the plastic "hat" off of the discharge, fit a piece of gas hose to the end and clamp it. Fill the hose with solvent and apply 100 psi of shop air. The intake screen on the other end is what usually gets clogged with junk. Also means that your other injectors have crud in the screens as well as the fuel filter.

yes it is crucial to get power to the injector so it opens up, this step was not in my instructions and i ended up with a large exploding noise and a fine mist of carb cleaner on everything within 10 feet of me.

Back flushing the injector does not require any electrical connections. The return springs on the pintal are very weak. A good piece of gas tubing will take the 15 psi to back flush them. This does not take into consideration a totally stuck/clogged pintal. However in the last 37 years that I've backflushed injectors (actually a VW tech bulliten) I've not encountered a totally clogged injector. Others seem to have had that bit of luck.
