quick clutch pedal question
hey all,
Just wondering, where do ur clutch pedals "grab"? Mine was done a while ago and it grabbed at the top, my pops told me a lot of cars grabbed at the bottom. He said it needed the proper adjustment cuz when he took it for a spin, he said if the pedal was pushed in, gear shifted up and pedal released the car would "jerk". Is this common with improper pedal adjustments? or is there even an adjustment like this with the pedal on our 44's? Thanks in advance

The Clutch will change it's grab depending on it thickness from use and it's adjustment. There is a Set Screw (looks like and Idle screw) It's on the clutch housing by slave. Up grabs latter, lower grabs sooner. You will feel the adjustment right away.

Try adjusting at pedal first. You'll find an adjusting nut and a jam nut under the dash, and you can adjust freeplay there. Check www.clarks-garage.com and see what you turn up.
