S2 Gurus: Sensor question.
 

There is a sensor on the very bottom of the intake manifold (most easily seen from under the car looking above the oil-pan). It threads directly into the manifold and has 2 electrical leads coming from it. What is it for?

Intake temperature.

Thats what my hunch was, however, I thought the intake temp was measured at the AFM.
