speedo cable?

does an 85/2 use a cable for the speedo or is it electric cause mine isnt working right now?

Yours is electric. Sender is on the drivers side of the trans just over the axle. Most likely you have a broken drive gear in the speedometer.

Mine was a bad sender. The little magnet that spins around inside was broken in two pieces. Not sure how that happens but it was. I also found one of the three wires on the connector was pushed back too far and wasn't making contact. Worked great after those two problems.

Does anyone happen to know the part number on the speedometer gear, I have searched the pelican website and cant seem to come across it.
