Cigarette Lighter Light

Anyone know where the light for the cigarette lighter actually attaches to. I took the dash trim off to change the clock light bulb and there is a wire with a light bulb on the end just hanging behind the metal lighter case. No obvious place for it to attach to. Thanks!!!

I know my light is setting off to the left (behind the temp control panel). I just looked at my previous console and there are two plastic stem-like pieces and the one on the driver's side has a slit on the bottom side. Maybe that's where it goes Just a guess, though.

It fits into one of the two hollow posts shown in SpidrVII's picture. From memory I believe it's the one on the right from the driver (left in the picture) regardless, - it will only fit correctly (reasonably snugly) in one of them - it's sloppy in the other one.

The bulb shines into a channel within the facia and illuminates the lighter.
