When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Anyhow, everybody better get ready for the next generation of gearheads...or should I say motorheads.

...hmm...marketing juices are flowing...

"Joke" as in a waste of money and environmental resources. Even the hybreds are a joke.

Well, I do agree that hybrids are a joke. Why didn't they just go to fuel cell technology right away. Fuel cells can use gasoline as a hydrogen source and we already have the infrastructure for gasoline distribution in place.

a high school buddy of my brother is working for Ballard Power Systems out west in British Columbia, for the division that's researching and experimenting with hydrogen fuel cells... yes, the technology exists.. the problem is that it's far too cost prohibitive for consumers...

why make something if nobody is gonna buy it?

Gasoline is already used as a hydrogen source. In fact, it's probably one of the cheapest and most effective ways of packaging, distributing, and using hydrogen. One molecule of gasoline (C8H18) contains eighteen hydrogen atoms! Plants also love the CO2 that is created and use it to grow and create Oxygen that we use to breathe. Isn't life grand?

Check out my \. friend's hydrogen powered Jeep and Charger: http://slashdot.org/~GMontag/journal/22583

hehe hydorgen powered jeep, arent hydrocarbons fun.

it really does suck though that batteries are so damn heavy and dont hold much energy (compared to the same weight in gasoline). if they were light and held more energy I could practically gaurantee that we would all have electric porsches. on the other hand with less parts to go wrong we wouldnt be here would we. ah well
