Chips????
I've been looking around and my suspension is pretty much set and I'm finally to the point where I want to chip my car. I was looking at Lindsey Racing and they have a chip for $200 or there was another chip that was put into a 968 a few issues of excellence ago. I lost that magazine and I'm not sure of the company that was used but I know it was in the UK. Does anyone have any advice aside FR Wilk on a good chip or are they all pretty much the same?

Didn't see the recent Article you mention. This is the one that I'm using and won the Chip Shoot out a few years back. http://www.andale.com/stores/sf_itemHome.jsp?lid=285923054&cid=10967939&mode=1 and priced right at $139!
Smoother and more power across the range. I like!

Thanks for the help but they offer nothing for an 1988 944. I found my magazine this morning and it was the May issue of excellence and it was featured in the tech sessions in the back of the magazine. The article was complete with claimed hp and actual dyno results. It was pretty interesting. The company was called Promax out of the UK and I'm debating between them and Lindsey Racing now...

Sorry I thought you meant 968 chips.
I hear that FR Wilk (who many 944's prefer) is no longer in the Business. http://www.frwilk.com/ I've never heard of a head to head comparison for the 944's and have only done 968's. David with Lindsey racing provides quality stuff and know there business. http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=LR Promax in England I also hear good things about. http://www.promaxmotorsport.com/ Many Company's in US re-package Auto Authority Chips and call them there own. (with mark up$) From at least the 968 chip shoot out results price doesn't mean more performance. Maybe Search this site. This topics been done many times. You'll like the result of which ever one you choose.
