Chicago - Milwaukee CREW to 944Fest
Only a few weeks away so I thought I'd get it out there. I wanted to put the band back together this year for the 944Fest. Last year it was a few of us that caravaned to the infamous 944fest at the Ski-Lodge (RIP). Last year we had the follwing particpants:
Chitown944 Speedy944 MichelleJD Leadfoot 944 Swagger93 and we had a Porsche repair chase vehicle...dude in a sweet silver GTI. So whos going and who wants to meet along the way

We are planning on going. We being myself, wife and kids. I am not sure if caravaning would be good for us because we will have to make more stops along the way and velocity will have to be much slower this time (under 125 mph
 ) But we will definitly see you down there. Speedy

Also I know turbobob924 from the porschehybrids board is planning on going and he resides in the north chicago area. You may want to contact him to see what his plan is.
It looks like 944fest is August 4th and 5th which is a Friday, Saturday. Are you leaving early Friday morning? Speedy

I think it is the fastest car I have ridden in. With the belts... I may be able to do a retension but I don't have enough time to install new belts, have you drive 1500 miles and retension before the trip. I am totally bogged down with school and work and a house project going on right now. Maybe the 22nd for a retension? We will have to work outside because of the project car in the garage. How many miles do you have on the belts we put on? Speedy

I'm in the process of removing the AC and relocating the alternator in the 951, so it won't be driveable for a few weeks.

Dude I have to cancel... My cam tower gasket just started leaking pretty bad. I can't believe the gasket ony lasted 3 years.
 So it is just one more stray on the camels back. I need this weekend to repair our van and finish the bathroom remodel which has take 1.5 months. Speedy

Dude I have to cancel...****ers totaled my car. Make sure you cancel your reservation at the hotel before you get charged. Seems I wont be need tyhat T-Belt Tensioning for awhile.
