rear hatch specs
 

I know it's probably in the forum somewhere, I searched and didn't find it, but are there any minor or major differences between a hatch off of an 84 944 compared to an 86 944? I was going to try to replace the rear hatch on my 86 with one off of an 84. Will I run into any problems such as latches, wiper, ect.

Nope, they are pretty much the same.

The rear wiper is different, but you can switch the motors out from one to the other.
